How one Baccarat hand actually runs
A Baccarat hand has four beats: place the chip, watch two cards each, wait for a third card if the rule calls for it, then take the result. You cannot change the chip after the window closes.
Beat one is the bet. Player pays 1 to 1. Banker pays 1 to 1 minus a 5% commission on a winning Banker stake. Tie pays more, often 8 to 1, and loses more often. Pair bets, if the table shows them, are separate chips on the first two cards matching. They do not help the main hand.
